Dean Park Pizza and Grill

Our Score

We have tried this place at least four times, each time optimistic that the food couldn’t possibly be as bad as we remember. Maybe we just got unlucky that last time? After all, the air smells so good outside the restaurant.

We don’t like the pizza. The crust is too thick, the toppings are bizarre, the sauce has a strange flavor, the crust is overcooked. The sandwiches and wraps are difficult to finish, not just because they’re generous portions, but because they are disgusting. The meat is fatty, they are frequently swimming in sauce, and the balance of ingredients is without care. The french fries are soggy and gross. After eating here, you will need plenty of water; salt appears to be the dominant flavor enhancer.

This place gets a star only because the staff is friendly and the place has such a long local history. The parking lot is always full, so people clearly like it. But, it doesn’t agree with our taste.

Our advice: skip this one.
